Use of LET in English – Concept

(1) मैं उसे जाने देता हूँ।
Main use jane deta hu.
I let him go.

(2) वो मुझे खेलने नहीं देता।
Wo mujhe khelne nahi deta.
He does not let me play.

(3) हमने राहुल को अन्दर आने दिया।
Humne Rahul ko andar aane diya.
We let Rahul come in.

(4) रवि उसे मिलने नहीं दे रहा है।
Ravi use milne nahi de raha hai.
Ravi is not letting him meet.

(5) पापा आपको नहीं जाने देंगे।
Papa aapko nahi jane denge.
Papa will not let you go.

(6) मैंने उसे जाने दिया।
Maine use jaane diya.
I let him/her go.

(7) आपको उसे बोलने देना चाहिए।
Aapko use bolne dena chahiye.
You should let him speak.

(8) वो मुझे बर्गर कभी खाने नहीं देगा।
Wo mujhe burger kabhi khane nahi degi.
She will never let me eat burger.

(9) आप मुझे सोचने तक नहीं देते।
Aap mujhe sochne tak nahi dete.
You do not even let me think.

(10) क्या आप कृप्या मुझे 2 मिनट चैन की साँस लेने देंगे।
Kya aap kripya mujhe 2 minute chain ki saans lene denge.
Would you please let me take a sign/breathe/heave of relief for 2 minutes.

Use of Let in English – Practice Exercise

मुझे पता लगाने दो कि वो कौन हैं।
Mujhe pata lagane do ki vo kaun hain.
Let me find out who they are.

मुझे देखने दो, वो कहाँ है।
Mujhe dekhne do, vo kahaan hai.
Let me see where he is.

मैं आपको जाने नहीं दूँगा।
Main aapko jaane nahi doonga.
I’ll not let you go.

मेरे पिताजी ने 18 साल की उम्र से पहले मुझे कार नहीं चलाने दी।
Mere pitaji ne 18 saal ki umr se pehle mujhe car nahi chalane di.
My dad didn’t let me drive the car before I turned 18.

मैं उसे अपने साथ खेलने देता था।
Mai use apne saath khelne deta tha.
I used to let him play with me.

उसे पहले हालात को समझ लेने दो।
Use pehle haalaat ko samajh lene do.
Let him understand the situation first.

उसे जाने दो।
Use jaane do.
Let him go.

उसे मत जाने दो।
Use mat jaane do.
Don’t let him go. /
Let him not go.

आप बहुत थके हुए हैं, इसलिए मैं आपको आज के लिए आराम करने दूँगा।
Aap bahut thake hue hain, isliye main aapko aaj ke liye aaraam karne doonga.
You are extremely tired, so I’ll let you take rest for today.

आप मुझे नहीं करने देते, जो मैं चाहता हूँ।
Aap mujhe nahi karne dete, jo mai chahta hu.
You don’t let me do what I want.

मैं किसी को भी अपने दोस्त का दिल नहीं दुखाने दूँगा।
Mai kisi ko bhi apne dost ka dil nahi dukhane doonga.
I won’t let anyone hurt my friend.

Use of Let in English…

वह आपको पार्टी में क्यों नहीं आने देती?
Vo aapko party me kyu nahi aane deti?
Why does she not let you attend the party?

उसने अपनी बेटी को मोबाइल पर खेलने दिया।
Usne apni beti ko mobile par khelne diya.
She let her daughter play on mobile.

वो मुझे किसी के साथ काम नहीं करने दे रहा है।
Vo mujhe kisi ke sath kaam nahi karne de raha hai.
He is not letting me work with anyone.

तुम्हें उसे अपने मोबाइल का उपयोग करने देना चाहिए; वो अब बच्चा नहीं है।
Tumhe use apne mobile ka upyog karne dena chahiye; vo ab bachcha nahi hai.
You should let him use your mobile; he is no longer a kid.

मैं आपको अपने से कभी दूर नहीं जाने दूँगा।
Mai aapko apne se kabhi door nahi jaane dunga.
I’ll never let you go away from me.

क्या आप कृपया मुझे अंदर आने देंगे ?
Kya aap kripya mujhe andar aane denge?
Would you please let me come in?

क्या आप मुझे एक गिलास पानी देंगे ?
Kya aap mujhe ek glass paani denge?
Would you please give me a glass of water?

ये जैसा है, वैसा ही रहने दो।
Ye jaisa hai, vaisa hi rehne do.
Let it be, as it is.

हर किसी को उससे सवाल पूछने दो।
Har kisi ko usse sawal puchne do.
Let everyone ask questions to him.

आज मुझे अपने साथ घर आने दो।
Aaj mujhe apne saath ghar aane do.
Let me come home with you today.

उसने मुझे कभी भी इस बारे में जानने नहीं दिया।
Usane mujhe kabhi bhi is baare me jaanne nahi diya.
He never let me know about it.

वो कब कब आपको कम्प्यूटर पर बैठने देता है?
Vo kab kab aapko computer par baithne deta hai?
