Kashish: Sarah. You look terrible. What’s wrong?
Sarah: My grandmother just passed away. I already miss her so much.
Kashish: I’m so sorry to hear that. When did this happen?
Sarah: A couple of days ago. I just got back from the funeral.
Kashish: Is there anything I can do?
Sarah: No. Not really. The sad thing is that I wasn’t there when she died. I really wanted to be there one last time.
Kashish: I’m sure she knew you loved her. Did she pass away in the hospital?
Sarah: Yeah. She died in her sleep.
Kashish: I’m sorry she’s gone.
Sarah: At least she didn’t suffer.
Kashish: I think your grandmother would want you to think of all the good times you spent together.
Sarah: I know. But I miss her.
Kashish: I know it can be difficult to move on. I won’t tell you that it would be easy or quick. It is going to take time. But you’ll learn to make a life for yourself like your grandma would have wanted.
Sarah: She was my biggest supporter. She would hush anyone who tried to scold me. You can say that she used to spoil me. Now our home would not be the same.
Kashish: Whenever you want to talk to someone remember I’m here. When my grandmother passed away, I used to put fresh flowers every day in front of her picture and talk to her. Even though she wasn’t there, I somehow knew she heard what I said.
Sarah: Yeah? That’s what I was thinking too. Thanks.
Kashish: It looks like you haven’t eaten anything all day. We should get you something to eat.
Sarah: You’re right. I should eat something. Let’s go.
